Sorry for the delay in posting this information. After I set up my post for Mystery Lovers' Kitchen (Easter cookies today - here), I tried to add information on this blog about Bowls and Books happening tomorrow in Kenosha, WI. But at that moment, Google developed a server error and I couldn't connect to this site. Weird. But all fixed now, apparently.
The Rhode Center for the Arts hosts Bowls and Books and I believe this is the 10th annual event. They invite local restaurants to prepare their best soups and for a small donation (proceeds benefit the Rhode Center), guests can enjoy a sampling of soups at lunch and/or at dinner. Donations ($12 lunch, $15 dinner) include a souvenir bowl and guests are also invited to vote on their favorite soups.
Local authors -- even someone like me from thc Chicago area -- will be there as well, selling and signing our books. I'll have Hail to the Chef and Eggsecutive Orders with me, and I'll be handing out bookmarks as well.
