Interview on Novel Journey

Hiya! If you're in the mood for more "Julie-yakking" - check out this interview on NOVEL JOURNEY:

They asked me for pics of my study... and I provided them. Little did I realize how bad my office looks!!!

Isn't there some sort of saying about a cluttered room being the sign of a creative mind? Or did I just make that up?

Sometimes people are so nice. Actually, people are often nice. But yesterday an act of particular niceness just made my day.

I was scheduled to appear with Michael A. Black at a library event on Monday night. To promote this event, the library sent a picture and a little blurb about it to the local Southtown/Star. Now, I don't get the Southtown/Star. But I do get the Chicago Tribune.

My newspaper delivery person must also deliver the Southtown/Star, because he included 9 copies of the section that my picture appeared in with my Monday morning Trib. Inside the plastic wrapper, he'd stuffed the extra sections and included a note that read: "I found these Star parts from Sunday ... thought you may like them. Especially page 8."

Wasn't that incredibly thoughtful? I wanted to tape a big "THANK YOU" onto my garage door so that he would see it this morning. I don't know how to thank him, but I really want to.

And you know what? This just makes me want to do something nice for someone else.

Website E-mail Problems

In case anyone has tried to reach me via my website, I just wanted to leave an update here. The website e-mail is not working. If you've sent me anything recently (the past week or so ... maybe even a little longer), chances are I have *not* received it. I can't access my files at all, so I'm completely out of touch.

If you need to get in touch with me please use my AOL account. For purposes of avoiding spam, I'll have to explain, rather than spell it out.

FirstnameLastname AT

Thanks. Sorry for the inconvenience....

Aunt Agatha's

We had a wonderful time at Aunt Agatha's bookstore. Just wonderful! From the moment we arrived and met Sid, through the MWA meeting on Wednesday and the book club discussion on Thursday, everyone was just so friendly, so warm, and so welcoming. What a great store! And what great people!

Just a few pictures here from the Thursday event...

(I forgot the camera for the Wednesday MWA meeting, but Sasha kindly used my cell phone to take a few shots. Those should eventually make their way into the Midwest Chapter newsletter, CLUES.)
Thank you, Robin, Skipper, Shelley, Steve, Sid, Sasha, Gwynne, Jim, and everyone who came out for the booksigning!
